I don't know what Tigranes this page is referring to. It's not Tigranes the Great of Armenia, but beyond that I'm unsure. Isomorphic 21:04, 29 Sep 2004 (UTC)
This Tigranes was one of the main Persian commanders during Xerxes' invasion of Greece, and commanded the garrison in Ionia that was defeated at the battle of Mycale. I'm not sure how he's formally distinguished from the many other people named Tigranes in history. No other articles here (not even the one on the battle!) have mentioned him.
I have noticed that his name is being referred to (in this article and other linked articles) interchangeably as Artabazos/Artabazus. Are both spellings correct? Regardless, I think we should consider harmonising the spelling, at least within this article. DMew92 (talk) 09:23, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
